Last night was a great night of training. It is exciting to see everyone working so hard after a long weekend. There is some real excitement in the school when all programs are getting ready for events. Between the NAGA events, TaeKwonDo tournament, and Arnolds, we are going to be busy for a few more weeks. I have been on the phone talking with several promoters around the nation about some upcoming fights (MMA & Kickbox). We will have to start getting fighters ready for these events as well. It makes me proud to see everyone training so well to keep up the Team LDMA reputation as a true competition team.
I also want to say how proud I am of the students from HPU in the PEC-118 (Brazilian JiuJitsu) and PEC-119 (Kickboxing) classes. We are not halfway in the semester and they have excelled tremendously. I am confident we will see many of them in our regular training classes in the near future.
I am making plane reservations for our guest to come in April (one for TaeKwonDo and one for BJJ). As soon as this is confirmed, I will let everyone know the details. There are plans to have more seminars from elite martial artists in all area we teach. Continually bringing in the best helps us to be on top.
I also made huge progress for a big event to happen this summer. As progress develops, I will keep students informed in class. I don't want to announce it here until the final plans have been completed; you never know who is reading this blog.
My article on MMA didn't get printed this month in the local magazine; however, it will be in there next month. They have asked me to do something on BJJ as well. This will be nice exposure for the school as we are the ONLY one in High Point teaching / training REAL Kickboxing and REAL Brazilian JiuJitsu (i.e. Mixed Martial Arts). Guess some schools have to sell MMA magazines to learn about it while we are getting recognized for doing it.
Hopefully more things will get finalized by Thursday night before we take off to the Arnolds.
GOOD LUCK TO THE TEAM THIS WEEKEND!!
